Library

The Snell Library opened in September 2017 when it moved to the heart of the school on the ground floor.

Its spacious, calm and contemporary layout enables pupils to feel at home and comfortable as they enjoy ready access to a wide range of fiction and non-fiction. To help with any guidance, we have a Library Assistant who is onsite every Monday, Tuesday and Friday.

There are areas dedicated to picture books and early readers, as well as graphic novels and young adult books, so every genre and age group is catered for within the room.

It offers a wealth of study resources for all our pupils and promotes independent learning for pupils as they move into the senior part of the school.

Many enjoy dipping into periodicals such as Aquila and The Week Junior as well as our online newspaper The Day.

The library is well-equipped to teach digital literacy - our eLibrary allows 24/7 access to 12+ online resources including Gale Schools, Encyclopaedia Britannica, National Geographic, Naxos music library, Clickview videos, EPlatform audio and eBooks and many more.
