  • Academic Vacancies

    Head of Pre-Prep - Lancing College Preparatory School at Hove

    Applications are invited for an enthusiastic and inspirational experienced classroom teacher to join Lancing College Preparatory School at Hove. The successful applicant will encourage, support, guide and give practical help across our expanding school and in particular support children in the pre-preparatory school, as well as other members of staff in the Senior Leadership Team. Senior Management experience is desirable for this post, as well as evidence of CPD.

    Lancing College Preparatory School at Hove is a popular and successful independent day preparatory school for pupils aged 3-13.

    Applications should include a statement setting out the candidate’s suitability for this post and a completed employment application form, which should include the names, emails, addresses and telephone numbers of three referees, one of whom must be the applicant’s current Head. CVs will also be accepted in support of a completed application form.

    Closing date: Applications should arrive no later than Friday 3 March; however applications will be reviewed on receipt.

    Interviews will be held week commencing Monday 6 March.

    Premises Officer / Caretaker - Lancing Prep Worthing

    Lancing College Preparatory School at Worthing is looking to recruit a Premises Officer Caretaker, to deliver and maintain an agreed level of service to the school by way of security, portering, general maintenance & repair and driving duties. To act as the main site key holder, with responsibility for opening the school each morning.

    This post would suit a person with a conscientious, approachable and flexible attitude and someone with confidence in working with young people and children. Experience of caretaking or premises management, building cleaning or building management would be desirable.

    Working hours will be 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 52 weeks per year, with one hour unpaid lunch break, but some flexibility is required. In addition, you may be required to work some weekends and evenings for which time off in lieu will be given.

    Minibus Driver

    Lancing College is looking to recruit a Minibus Drivers at all 3 sites. Driving a variety of vehicles to transport Preparatory School and College students.

    This post would suit a person with a conscientious, approachable and flexible attitude and confident working with young people and children. Other duties would include carrying out pre and post journey drivers’ vehicle checks.

    The applicant must possess a full, UK Driving Licence (D1 NFHR minimum), be aged between 23 and 70 (Insurance requirement) and be willing to attend further associated courses and training as necessary.

    The hours are variable and both morning and evenings hours are available to suit.

    Chef - Lancing Prep Hove

    Lancing College Preparatory School at Hove is seeking to recruit a Chef. The position will assist the Head Chef/Catering Manager in the provision of food to the agreed standard within the budgetary limitations and the School’s standards.

    Assisting in the maintenance of high standards, in Hygiene and Health & Safety. Hours of work will be 40 hours per week, i.e. 8.00 am to 4.30 pm, Monday to Friday, Term time only.

    Successful candidates must have previous experience of working within a busy Kitchen environment.
