Yesterday the Senior swimming squad travelled to Eastbourne College for a competition.
The Girls' team, although it was slightly undermanned due to some members taking exams, started strongly, as Ciara M won the 50m freestyle and butterfly events, and Maki A and Coco A picked up valuable placing points. Third Former Jasmine Y was also in great form, winning the 50m backstroke and the Individual Medley races.
In the Boys' events, Henry Y was undefeated all day, in the 100m freestyle, 50m butterfly, and 100m Individual Medley races. Ben C, Stuart W and Tim L also swam well and kept the points rolling in. For both the girls and boys the competition would be decided in the relay events; the Girls' team won the 50m medley and freestyle events in some very close races, while the Boys' team of Henry, Stuart, Ben and Tim won the Boys' 50m medley by over half a length.
Congratulations go to Vincent L who swam a personal best in the 100m freestyle, and Calum B and Oliver T for helping to anchor the squad.
