A group of Lancing College pupils and staff had a wonderfully successful ski trip to the Italian resort of Pila at half term. The group enjoyed excellent skiing conditions and glorious waether - it was a real pleasure to be in teh Alps in such a wonderful environment, and a fine time was had by all. Everybody made good progress and also had time to enjoy some of the activities that were on offer and soak up the atmosphere in some of the restaurants and shops in the local town of Aosta.
Two of the Lancing skiers were among 7 out of the 1000 pupils on the slopes who were selected as potential instructors, and they have the chance of being invited to take part in the Interski instructor course, which involves a three week all-expenses paid course in Italy.
Very many thanks to Dr Norrs for all his efforts in organising the trip - his work ensured that the trip went very smoothly, and his infectious love of skiing rubbed off on all who were there. Well done also to the pupils who went on the trip, whose good behaviour was remarked upon time and time again wherever the group went.
