Prep Schools' Chamber Music Day |

About 30 prep school musicians came to Lancing yesterday to enjoy a day of quite challenging music making. Lancing music tutors, Mr Daniel Bhattacharya (violins), Mr Santiago Carvalho (cellos), Mrs Jenny Caws (woodwind), Mr Neil Cox (percussion), Miss Nikki Dragonetti (woodwind), Mr Ian Morgan-Williams (chamber orchestra) and Mrs Eira Percox (brass), encouraged and cajoled the young players through a variety of rehearsals - and they even had time to visit the school farm and tuck shop! The day ended with an Open Rehearsal, where 3 woodwind groups, 2 brass and percussion groups, a small windband, a violin group a cello ensemble and a full chamber orchestra performed to parents and teachers. Thanks to all involved who made it such a successful day.
