What influence has Lancing College had on your life?

Lancing taught me how to be independent, how to be true to myself and maintain a resilient dedication to what is important. Mr Mole, my housemaster, was a great role model for me and it was a pleasure to be a part of the team of boys in School House.

What hobbies or interests did you pick up during your time at Lancing?

What I realised at Lancing is the importance of networking. In terms of interests, Geography classes really taught me how to think in terms of the impacts you can have on the economy i.e., social and economic. This has really helped me in life in terms of quick decision making and viewing life from different angles.

Are you still in touch with people you met at Lancing?

Yes, I am indeed, even though I joined Lancing in the sixth form, I was able to make great friendships with people who I studied with and consider them my best friends till this day.

What advice would you give to a new pupil who is about to start at Lancing?

Everyone is encouraged to study independently, no one is going to spoon-feed you and it helps to be aware of this. Lancing has a very close community, take advantage of it and seek new friendships as there are so many cool and interesting people! You might think that lessons are boring, but try to listen to the teachers with an open mind, ask questions, a lot and they will be able to show you how interesting and diverse life really is. Manage your time wisely, as no one will do it for you. Be independent.
