Which A Levels did you study?
I studied Maths, Further Maths, Economics, French, Geography and Russian
If you went to university, where did you go and what did you study? If you didn’t go to university, what did you do instead?
I studied International Business with French at the University of Warwick, with a year abroad in Sciences Po in Paris. I have also achieved Masters in Digital Management from Hyper Island.
What are you doing now and what plans do you have for the future?
I work for a venture capital fund investing in technology innovation start-ups. I get involved in the projects we choose and help them grow in chosen regions. My plans for the future involve starting my own business that would allow me to work from any corner of the world, and be my own boss.
What influence has Lancing College had on your life?
Lancing College taught me discipline and prepared me for the cultural differences I might experience in life. It also taught me tolerance, time management and friendship.
Which hobbies or interests did you pick up during your time at Lancing?
I tried various sports, picked up photography and was a part of the editorial team for the Lancing newspaper.
Are you still in touch with people you met at Lancing?
Yes, with a few. I actually had the opportunity to collaborate with another OL as we work in similar fields that cross over sometimes.
What advice would you give to a new pupil who is about to start at Lancing?
Be open minded, try everything at least once but invest time and effort only in things that make you happy. Be kind, make friends, make memories, and don’t stress about choosing your degree course, just try to secure a place at a good university. Develop basic skills of debating, time management, resilience and negotiation. Don’t leave studying until the last moment. Take care of yourself and your mental health. Be yourself and do things that make you happy! If you are happy in your profession you are more likely to make money and have a fulfilling life.
