Bryony Morison, Sankey's 2010 - 2015

Bryony Morison

Being able to attend Lancing was for me, a chance in a lifetime. In my early years I was placed in long term foster care and as I grew older my talent for singing grew and was recognised when I auditioned, and was accepted for, a scholarship at Lancing. The education I received at Lancing helped me thrive and grow in confidence, especially with my singing. Lancing was truly a second home for me demonstrated by the caring nature of the staff and the friends that I made.  My favourite memories of the College will always be singing in the weekly Chapel services and the choral scholars group, which filled me with pride and confidence. It is  wonderful to be able to say I am an OL and I am eternally grateful for my education at Lancing.

Bryony is in her third year at Chichester University studying BMUS Vocal performance. She started singing at the age of eight in her local Cathedral choir and sung with Lancing College choral scholars from 2010-2015. During 2017 Bryony travelled to Moldova and sung a range of operatic duets on live radio, she also returned to the Dorset Opera summer school and performed in the productions of Faust and Le Comte Ory. Bryony has sung as the soprano soloist for the work Dixit Dominus by Handel accompanied by the University’s Chamber orchestra, and has recently sung at local concerts, including Goodwood House.
