Fego Emaviwe, Field’s 2012 – 2014

Fego Emaviwe

Lancing provided a unique and life changing experience for me. It enabled me to engage with the resilient and hardworking side of myself and instilled discipline. Coming from a state school in London where I was always part of the top students, my time at Lancing pushed me to work harder and strive for, and to be, the absolute best against all odds. The opportunities and support given to me during my time at Lancing were beyond my imagination.

Although I was new to the Lancing community, joining only in Sixth Form, I was welcomed with open arms. I was allowed to be part of real change within the College community as I became the Head of Field’s House, a prefect, and a leader of the Christian Union. It was definitely an invaluable experience, one that shaped me to be the woman I am today. I am now a Law graduate from the University of Warwick, currently working and hoping to go to Law School in January 2019. I wouldn’t be where I am today if I hadn’t found myself at Lancing.

My time at Lancing is something I would never trade and I hope many more ‘dreamers’ like myself are given the opportunity to experience it!
