It should be noted that we do not offer term-time only childcare or short days. Parents seeking those options for nursery and pre-school children may wish to contact the admissions team at Lancing Prep Worthing for information about their EYFS provision.<\/p>\n
Please note that our Terms & Conditions are being reviewed in light of the impact of the new funding arrangements for working parents that took effect from September 2025. Parents and enquirers will be advised of any future changes.<\/p>\n
A brief overview of our joining procedure<\/strong><\/p>\n\n- We process applications held on our database and contact enquirers in due course to discuss their childcare needs. Please note that our Admissions policy requires a minimum booking of twenty hours a week.<\/li>\n
- If we have availability, we either invite parents to visit the nursery or to attend an open morning. Our early 2026 open morning has already taken place. We may arrange a further event in early summer 2026 for parents of children aged 2+ to 4+ to share more information about the nursery expansion.<\/li>\n
- Once we have confirmed we can offer your child a place and you have decided that you wish to proceed with your application, we will send you an electronic Registration Form which you should complete and submit.<\/li>\n
- Once we have received your completed registration form, your child will join our entry list and will be enrolled once you have made the payment of \u00a3250 to secure your child’s place. This comprises a non-refundable registration fee of \u00a350 and a refundable entry deposit of \u00a3200. This is held on your child’s account and will be retained by us until your child leaves the Nursery.<\/li>\n
- Your child will be enrolled at Little Lancing once this payment has been received. The payment of the deposit will secure the sessions you have been offered. In view of the current demand for places, we regret we cannot guarantee to hold places if the deposit has not been received.<\/li>\n
- Once enrolled, Parents and carers will receive an electronic copy of our Term and Conditions for signature and return.<\/li>\n
- We will contact you to arrange settling sessions prior to your child joining us. These are generally short sessions at a set time, with a parent or carer present in the Nursery. There are usually three settle sessions but there is no specific number; we understand children may need fewer or more of these to settle. There is no charge for settling sessions and fees will be charged from your child’s first booked session. At the settle sessions, we confirm the the information we hold about your child is accurate and up-to-date and ask you to sign our Consents and Agreements Form.<\/li>\n
- Your child starts at Little Lancing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
We understand that circumstances change or parents may not yet be certain of the days or sessions they require. Once on our entry list, please do contact the Nursery office if childcare needs change so that we can update our records. Where we are able to accommodate changes, we will agree these with the parents.<\/p>\n
Please note:<\/strong><\/p>\nThe procedure for registration fee and refundable deposit described above is different for Universal Early Years funded hours only bookings. For more information about Early Years funding and to discuss session availability, please contact the Nursery Manager.<\/p>\n
