{"id":72656,"date":"2026-08-13T10:46:30","date_gmt":"2026-08-13T09:46:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.lancingcollege.co.uk\/littlelancing\/?post_type=vacancy&#038;p=72656"},"modified":"2026-08-13T10:46:47","modified_gmt":"2026-08-13T09:46:47","slug":"nursery-apprentice","status":"publish","type":"vacancy","link":"https:\/\/www.lancingcollege.co.uk\/littlelancing\/news\/vacancy\/nursery-apprentice\/","title":{"rendered":"Nursery Apprentice"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>Nursery Apprentice<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reports to:\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>Nursery Manager \/ Deputy Nursery Managers<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To contribute to a programme of activities that meet the individual needs and interests of children and the Early Years Framework.<\/li>\n<li>To work with the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework that meet the individual needs and interests of children.<\/li>\n<li>To build strong working relationships with parents and family members, alongside management and other colleagues.<\/li>\n<li>To assist with daily, weekly and monthly checks around the nursery and assisting in ensuring the nursery is clean and safe at all times.<\/li>\n<li>To be committed to the safeguarding of all children in the nursery as well as in your direct care.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Skills and Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience working with children aged 0-5 years (desirable).<\/li>\n<li>Working towards a Level 3 Early Years qualification.<\/li>\n<li>Basic knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).<\/li>\n<li>Enthusiastic, hardworking, and committed to a career in childcare.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to use initiative.<\/li>\n<li>Flexible with working hours and able to adapt to nursery needs.<\/li>\n<li>Resilient and able to work effectively in a busy environment.<\/li>\n<li>Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.<\/li>\n<li>Values and respects the individual needs, views, and development of every child.<\/li>\n<li>Dedicated to continuous personal and professional development.<\/li>\n<li>Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding, and Food Hygiene certificates are desirable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Terms and Conditions<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The salary for this position will be in line with the national minimum wage, based on the postholder\u2019s age and in accordance with current legislation.<\/li>\n<li>Hours of work will be 40 hours per week (36 nursery-based hours, plus 4 hours study time).
