Mr Jeremy East

After completing his O Levels and A Levels at Littlehampton School, Jeremy graduated from Manchester University in 1984 with a BSc in Mathematics. He then completed his PGCE teaching qualification at Sussex University, after which he joined Hove Park School as a teacher of Mathematics in 1985. In 1992, he moved to Portslade Community College (now PACA) as Second in Charge of Mathematics and later as Acting Head of Mathematics. During his time at these schools, Jeremy co-ran several residential outward-bounds camps, including hiking in the Pyrenees in Spain and in the Sierra Nevada in California.

In 2001, Jeremy joined Lancing College as a teacher of Mathematics. His interest in walking and climbing meant it was natural for him to join the college CCF, eventually becoming the Contingent Commander for twelve years.

Jeremy lives in Southwick with his partner, Julie. His hobbies include swimming, golf, and playing the guitar.
