Olivier graduated from Université Montesquieu-Bordeaux IV in France where he studied Business and Spanish, inclusive of an international Erasmus placement in Barcelona, Spain. After a successful career working in London and Sydney, he subsequently gained his PGCE with QTS in Modern Languages (ages 11–18) from Anglia Ruskin University, in Summer 2010.
Prior to joining Lancing College in September 2015, he was a Head of Spanish Department in a selective state school and developed his educational skills further by teaching the IB Diploma Programme at Brentwood School and Gresham's School, respectively. At Lancing, he enjoys teaching both French and Spanish to Advanced Level.
His current professional interests include almost anything connected with Linguistics, running the Sixth Form Spanish Society, and English as an Additional Language, supported by his recent CELTA qualification. He has also enjoyed being a Form and Academic Tutor since his very first teaching days and strongly believes in educating the whole child.
In the outside world, Olivier is an avid current affairs reader, keen amateur cook and lifelong Formula 1 enthusiast - who is most likely to be found with his wife scouring the globe in search of unique encounters and experiences.
