Teacher (Photography, Art)
Tim Auty graduated from the Norwich School of Art in 1996 with a BA in Graphic Design & Photography; he subsequently entered the freelance commercial photography industry as a food specialist based in London. After a successful but short period in this industry, Tim undertook his PGCE at Exeter University and graduated in 2003. After two years in the state sector the opportunity arose for Tim to join Lancing College with the remit to set up and start A Level Photography.
In his time here, Photography has developed and flourished in the curriculum with its latest incarnation being the Cambridge Pre U course. He is passionate about traditional photography and all of the wonderful processes that can be studied and is currently perfecting the very tricky Wet Plate Collodion process. If you can’t find him in the darkroom he will likely be on a tennis court or a golf course.
