Teacher (History, Religious Studies)
Catherine took over as Housemistress of Manor in September 2011 having been Assistant Housemaster in Field’s House for four years and Acting Head of Girls’ Games for two years. No stranger to Lancing or to boarding either, Catherine has been at the College since September 2006.
In addition to her Housemistress role, Catherine teaches History and Religious Studies, coaches’ hockey, netball and rounders and is part of the team who deliver the PSHE course. Catherine shares keenly Sir James Darling’s views on the duties of Christian gentlemen towards their fellow men.
Educated at Geelong Grammar School Victoria, Catherine is an alumna of Melbourne University where she read English, Politics and Philosophy, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Education. More recently, Catherine has successfully completed a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership (MEd) from the University of Buckingham, in addition to a Postgraduate Diploma in Boarding Management from Roehampton University. Catherine lives at Lancing College with her husband, Michael, and their son Henry.
