Karen began working in a retail environment in her early teens and soon developed a reputation as a highly driven, customer-oriented member of the team. A steady climb followed, with many twists and turns, including running a clothing and costume business and a furnishings retail business, which involved sourcing some remarkably exotic items from across Western Europe.
A change of tack saw Karen move into the holiday management industry in the early 2000s before yet another twist saw her arrive at Lancing College, where she has spent the last 14 years expanding the commercial and retail side of the college’s business.
She lives in the historic town of Lewes with her musician husband, where she is a frequent gym visitor when not attempting to tame an unruly garden on the edge of the Downs.
