A group of six Lancing pupils completed their qualifying Duke of Edinburgh's Silver Award expedition back in April 2019. The three day walk took us from Alciston to Lancing. The group camped for two nights, even waking up to hail on the second morning! Despite the stormy conditions on the second day, the group dug deep and managed to complete the challenge while keeping spirits high. The third day was perhaps the longest but the thought of home kept everyone motivated. The group managed to stay on track and not get lost. We were the only Fifth Form group to successfully complete the qualifying expedition, and we are all very proud of our pupils.
