We recently played host to the first-ever lunch service held within the prestigious setting of our historic Chapel. The occasion was the Sussex Heritage Trust Awards, an annual event that celebrates the exceptional preservation and restoration of the region's architectural and cultural heritage.
The chapel at Lancing College is a true architectural gem, and we felt it was the perfect backdrop to celebrate the remarkable achievements of our local heritage champions,
Helen Reeve, CEO of the Sussex Heritage Trust
Guests were treated to a sumptuous lunch service that seamlessly blended the grandeur of the Chapel's architecture with the culinary excellence of the College's catering team. The menu featured locally sourced ingredients, complementing the historic setting and honouring the event's focus on regional heritage.
Dining in the Chapel was a truly unique experience. The soaring ceilings, beautiful stained glass, and peaceful ambiance created an atmosphere that was both reverent and celebratory – the perfect setting to recognise the incredible work being done to preserve the character of our beloved Sussex.

The event celebrated the remarkable skills of craftsman and the exceptional building initiatives across Sussex. It acknowledged the tireless efforts of those who work diligently to maintain the natural beauty of our Sussex surroundings, and we were privileged to be a part of the event.
