Following the successful introduction of the Lancing Advance Programme for 2020 entry, the College has now opened applications for the 2021 programme.
First launched earlier this year for entry in 2020, the new Advance Programme has proved incredibly popular, feedback from parents has been extremely positive and applications have exceeded expectations. Many schools across the South East and London have supported the programme and, together with parents, put forward candidates to apply for Lancing.
Commenting on the latest launch, Head Master Dominic Oliver said “We have been delighted with the support for our new Advance Programme. We worked hard to develop a programme that enables us to really gauge the many strengths pupils have to offer, give them all a chance to shine as individuals and identify those with the greatest potential to excel at the College. Only after this will we feel we have a rounded perspective on each child and be able to decide whether to offer them a place. Our programme is about so much more than a single assessment of academic ability.”
Pupils can also join Lancing in the Third Form via Common Entrance or Common Academic Scholarship in Year 8. The College will be keeping these routes available for late entries and for pupils who have been unable or do not wish to participate in early assessment and the Advance Programme.
