On 1 July we said farewell to our Upper Sixth. Their final day as Lancing pupils was packed with activities - amongst saying goodbye to friends and staff, the pupils were given further insights by Nigel Wheeler OL, President of The OL Club, about the benefits of joining a community of over 5,500 OLs around the world. The day also included the customary exit interviews, a whole school Leavers' Service and the wonderful Leavers' Ball in the evening.
The Ball was attended by over 350 guests - an extra special occasion this year as we were able to welcome parents and guests again for the first time since 2019. After drinks and canapés on the Chapel Lawn, the guests moved into the marquee for the formal dinner, which was followed by live music and dancing in the Dining Hall. The evening ended with a beautiful firework display which spectators viewed from Teme Lawn.
We wish our 2022 Leavers all the best for the future.
