This past Saturday 9 September, hundreds of members of the Lancing College community took to the South Downs in our annual Malawi Walk.
With our charity partners, Care in Action and Open Arms Malawi, we are enabling Brighton, Norman, Promise, and Veronica to access tertiary education. Funds raised on the walk pay for their tuition, accommodation, and equipment such as laptops. We are also walking to fundraise for more classrooms for Chankhasi School, where the Lancing College expedition team helped build a classroom in July 2022, and to continue our support for Kumanda Community on the outskirts of Blantyre.
After the walk, students, staff, and parents were treated to a Hog Roast and BBQ, prepared by our sensational catering team. The Lancing Parents' Association was also on hand, serving a variety of refreshments to suitably lubricate the afternoon.
