We returned, by popular demand, to the National Liberal Club in Whitehall for our Autumn Lunch on Tuesday 27 September.
We were delighted to welcome a significant number of ‘newly-qualified’ OLs over 60, many of who had come to hear their friend and contemporary, Simon Hodson (Olds 1969–1974) give a very entertaining talk about his experience of Lancing in the early 1970s. Simon joined in the same term as Head Master Ian Beer and was a member of the Rugby XV for four years. Following a gap year labouring in the scrap metal yards of France, he studied Law at Queen Mary College, London. He then went on to have a very successful law career, culminating in becoming a Senior Partner of DAC Beachcroft. He has now stepped down from that role and will be embarking on a new non-executive career after travelling to Antarctica in February 2017.
