Pupil Headliners - June 2022

House Debating Competition
After a two-year hiatus, the House Debating Competition returned live to Lancing last term. There was fierce competition throughout, with House teams arguing motions about gun control, a 32-county Irish republic, and term limits for British Prime Ministers. Handford, Head's, Manor and Gibbs' made it to the final four, and Gibbs' and Manor faced off with the motion ‘This House would allow prisoners to choose death over a life sentence.’  Both sides fought with vigour and skill and Manor was declared the winner. Congratulations to Kitty C-H, Hannah C, Will B, Adam M and Cooper F for their participation, and thank you to our audiences, judges, chairs and timekeepers.
