Sporting Highlights - 10 November 2017

We begin with very exciting equestrian news. The Hurlingham Polo Association has selected Freddie P to tour South Africa as part of the Young England team in mid-December. This is particularly pleasing achievement as Freddie will captain the team. To add to his achievements, Freddie has also been offered the chance to play professionally, as well as extending his England captaincy, in two ‘low goal’ tournaments in the early summer months.

Football
On the last Sunday of half term, Demi A represented the ISFA South of England U18 Football team at Brentwood. His excellent performance for the B team last month resulted in this call up for the 1st team, where he scored one and assisted another in the 3-0 win over Essex Schools. He will find out this coming Monday if he has made it through to the full England trial that takes place at the end of November.

Over the Half Term break, the U15A team travelled to Berlin. In what was a very successful trip, the team experienced a fantastic mix of culture, history and sport and won both its matches (3-0 against FC Stern and 1-0 against SC Staaken). All players were excellent ambassadors for the College.

We look forward to a busy weekend with Girls' Hockey against Seaford, Football against Lingfield, and Cross Country, and wish all our competitors the best of luck.
