The only midweek game after the exeat break saw the 2nd XI Football team take on Bishop Luffa in the third round of the County Cup. In red hot form, the seconds continued their excellent run with a convincing 5-0 win. Goal scorers here were Harvey K, Fabian S, Louis J-Q and two from MVP Fred V B. This victory means the team is currently the most successful in the club with a 60% win ratio; they will now face Cardinal Newman (away) in the quarter finals.
This weekend sees House football for the Juniors, and six senior matches against Tonbridge. We also wish the girls' hockey teams lots of luck, as they play in a full block against Ardingly on Saturday.
Finally, congratulations must go to Pippa S who attended the National Schools' Equestrian Association Plate championship earlier in November. This is a prestigious event where riders from schools across the UK, who have been placed at regional NSEA events, compete against each other. Pippa was thrilled to take 2nd place in the scurry and then won her show jumping class, making Lancing NSEA 75cm Individual Plate Champions for 2019. This is a great achievement and bodes well for our newly-formed riding team.
