Last Thursday, the U16A team claimed silver at the County Championship Finals, adding to the U18s’ silver and the U14s’ gold from the week before. With all three age groups medalling, Lancing will now represent Sussex at the National South of England Finals after Half Term.
The U14As triumphed 1–0 over Roedean thanks to a goal from Molly G, MVPs were Molly G and Maya C.
The U15A continued their fine form with a 2–1 comeback win against Burgess Hill. MVPs were Theodora G and Olivia M.
The Boys’ 1st Team competed at the Area Indoor Hockey Finals in Eastbourne, narrowly missing out on Nationals but performing superbly throughout.
Saturday’s block fixture against Embley saw the Girls’ 1st XI secure an emphatic 5–1 win, featuring a hat-trick from Ava U (MVPs were Ava U and Lily S), while the 2nd XI edged a thrilling 4–3 victory with MVPs Molly B and Lila D.
The U15A were dominant in their 4–1 win, with MVPs Lexi P and Akeelah L.
In Tuesday’s midweek fixture, the 2nd XI maintained their unbeaten run with a 4–0 win away at Lingfield, with goals from Emily S (2), Lily T, and Molly B.

In a tough Saturday afternoon block vs Bede’s our Team of the week was the 2nd XI who won 3-2; an excellent performance from Mr Mole’s 2nd XI who are unbeaten at home so far this year. Goals from David O, Sam W and Daniel A completed an excellent afternoon, Man of the match was Ethan B.
Following this, the U16As ran out 3-1 winners in Round 2 of the ESFA National Cup vs Buckswood on Tuesday. Goals from Seth V and Gibrille B capped off an excellent second half and well-earned victory.
Also, on Tuesday, the Junior House six-a-side tournament took place. After the group stages Second's, Teme, Head's and Gibbs' made the semifinals. with Teme and Head's progressing. In a dominant 'Teme' performance, Teme House secured victory after a hat-trick from Sotaro N.
All our teams now deserve a well-earned rest over the Half Term break.
