Sports Day / Founder’s Day
Congratulations to all the athletes who participated in our two-day Sports Day before the Half Term break! We saw some truly impressive performances in both the track and field events, setting the stage for an exciting House Competition leading up to the final races on Founder's Day.
Here's a quick rundown of some notable results:
- 800 metres:
- Bibi W: 2:31
- Luca C: 2:27
- Theo S F: 2:05
- 100 metres:
- Michael M: Sub-11 seconds
- 200 metres:
- Gethin W (Fourth Form): Faster than the Senior boys
- Grace H (Fourth Form): Faster than the Senior girls by hundredths of a second
- Shot Putt:
- Harlan E: 11 metres
- Millie D: 8.55 metres
- High Jump:
- Boys: Pranav A and Flynn S: 165 cm
- Girls: Molly B and Annabel J
Particular highlights of Founder’s Day included the ever-popular inflatable race, where we witnessed the incredible efforts of Dr Herbert, whose participation added a special touch to the day.
The highly anticipated tug-of-war was another standout moment, with both staff teams emerging victorious, much to the delight of the cheering crowd.
Congratulations to everyone involved for making Sports Day such a memorable event!
Final house results were extremely close, especially in the girls' competition, where it came down to the wire on points.
