Please help to reduce congestion by exercising caution, by showing patience and consideration for our neighbours and other road users. The school gates on Hove Park Road are open in the morning to enable you to walk your child into school via the school field.<\/p>\n<h2>Pre-Prep and Pre-School<\/h2>\n<p>Pre-Prep and Pre-School pupils begin their day in the classroom at 9.00 with a mid-morning playtime from 10.00 to 10.20. They break for lunch at 11.45 and return to class at 13.10. Afternoon playtime is from 14.30 to 14.50 and there is a staggered finishing time as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>15.30 Pre-School and Reception day finishes<\/li>\n<li>16.00 Year 1 and Year 2 day finishes<\/li>\n<li>16.00 &#8211; 17.15 Pre-Prep clubs and after school care<\/li>\n<li>17.15 Pre-Prep closes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Pre-Prep children may elect to stay at school for a specific club activity or for after school care, in either case there will be a session fee charged. Please see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lancingcollege.co.uk\/prep-hove\/school-life\/activities-clubs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-entity-type=\"node\" data-entity-uuid=\"6c232be0-bb15-41a1-af07-459a039b9934\">after school care and clubs<\/a>\u00a0to find out more about this provision.<\/p>\n<h2>Prep School<\/h2>\n<p>Lessons are taught in 35 minute blocks from 9.00. Some lessons are taught in double blocks. Morning school comprises six lessons with a break for play time from 10.45 to 11.05. Lunch runs from 12.50 to 13.50. Afternoon school comprises four lessons with a break for playtime from 15.00 to 15.20. On Wednesday afternoons, there are no academic lessons as time is given over to sport, sports fixtures and some school clubs.<\/p>\n<p>Pupils may leave school at 16.30 unless they are signed up for after school clubs or supervised homework. The school closes for the day at 17.30.<\/p>\n<p>Prep Pupils are dismissed by their form teachers or club leader, either at the front door of the school or from Laurent Hall. \u00a0Older pupils may travel home unescorted provided we have had written permission from their parents.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>All children are expected to arrive at school by 8.25 (but no earlier than 8.00).
