I do hope you all enjoyed the long weekend and managed to fit in some of the five ways to wellbeing. I managed to connect by having a Zooms quiz night with some friends. I was able to keep learning by watching the spitfire fly over my house and finding out things I didn’t know about VE Day. I was active when challenging my daughter to a hula-hooping contest (she won, of course!) and when putting up the tent in the garden. I made sure to take notice of my garden my taking photos of my favourite plants and flowers. I was able to give to others when I drove past my goddaughter’s house to sing her happy birthday from the car, on my way to deliver food to my mum who is self-isolating.
It’s interesting, isn’t it, that even when we think we are doing ‘nothing’, we can still find examples of when we showed kindness to others, gratitude and self-care? Have a think of what you have done lately. Write it down and congratulate yourself for your small achievements! You are doing brilliantly.
Although nearing the middle of May now, I love this Meaningful May Calendar. Here is the link in case you’d like to print it and tick off each of the actions for happiness:
Keep in touch, stay safe and remember we are here if you need us.
With love to all in the LPW family,
