Governing body

Lancing Prep Worthing has a Board of Governors who bring a wealth of experience to their role to offer support and advice and also shape the future strategy of the school. Some governors are from professional backgrounds with legal, accountancy and surveying skills, teachers or retired heads; while others are parents of children or are former pupils of Lancing (OLs).

Governors are chosen for their specialist knowledge and provide valuable support to the Head Mistress and the executive team through the various sub-committees. The Governing Body of any independent school is also required to bring scrutiny to all the aspects of running the school such as financial sustainability, the protection of the estate and the educational quality of the teaching.
