The Venerable Luke Irvine-Capel

Luke graduated from the University of Oxford and trained for ordination at the College of the Resurrection, Mirfield. He has been Archdeacon of Chichester since 2019, serving across seven Deaneries in the Diocese of Chichester. He also Chairs the Diocesan Board of Education and the Diocese of Chichester Academy Trust, as well as being the Chair of the House of Clergy and a member of various Diocesan committees and a Trustee of several charities. In 2021 Luke was elected as a Proctor in Convocation for the General Synod of the Church of England. Prior to his appointment as an Archdeacon, he was a parish priest in the Diocese, and has also served parishes in the Diocese of London and Monmouth in the Church in Wales.

His son is currently a student at Lancing College.
