At Lancing Prep Worthing, the children are taught in small classes; this means that in almost all lessons work can be differentiated to meet the needs of all the pupils.<\/p>\n
For those who have specific difficulties, additional support can be provided to help them access the curriculum. There is an additional charge set by the Lancing College Bursary for 1:1 Learning support sessions\u2019. Our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) oversees any extra support needed. Additional support with our learning support assistant is usually one-to-one with pupils withdrawn from class. The level of support is regularly reviewed and modified to suit the needs of the pupil.<\/p>\n
Pupils, including those pupils who have special educational needs and\/or disabilities (SEND) and pupils who speak English as an additional language (EAL), are well supported. As a result, teaching is effective and pupils learn well.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

We aim to keep parents fully informed of their child\u2019s needs and progress. Communicating effectively and regularly helps to create the best possible learning experience for our children. Occasionally, we may ask parents to obtain an Educational Psychologist\u2019s report for their child. This helps us to understand the child\u2019s specific needs and implement the most effective strategy to aid his or her learning.<\/p>\n
