Prospective parents looking at September 2027 entry are advised to register their interest for 11+ places and scholarships as early as possible as both are limited. More information on scholarships is detailed below.

If you are interested in applying for Year 7 entry in September 2027 please contact our Registrar, Mrs Catherine Fauvel, who will be able to assist with the application process. Children will then be invited to our taster morning and assessment days in November. Late entries may be considered.

Please download our standard Registration Form

To progress an application, parents will need to pay the non-refundable registration fee of £90 (unless already registered and paid) – details of how to pay are shown on the Registration Form – and to complete and return the forms, either by post or sent via email to LPWAdmissions@lancing.org.uk. If you are applying for a Scholarship, please state which one in the email.

At Lancing Prep Worthing, we believe that every child can and should, ‘Love Learning, Be Kind and Go out into the World and Do Good’. Using these aims as a framework for life leads to future success and happiness.

We offer Scholarships to passionate and gifted pupils, to allow them to flourish in our community. Internal and external pupils will be considered for the following Scholarships: Academic, Art, Drama, Music and the ‘Love Learning All Rounder Award’ for pupils demonstrating excellence in more than one area of the curriculum.

Our Scholarships are assessed in Year 6 and applied for entry in Year 7 (11+).

To view our Scholarship booklet, click here.

Internal applications will be considered separately, and as such their candidature will be assessed on performance, excellence, potential, and current contribution to our community. All Year 6 pupils will automatically be entered for possible Scholarships. The most recent school report and recommendations from Heads of Department will be considered. All Scholarships are honorary, and the award of a scholarship does not in itself represent a reduction in fees. Parents of those children who are awarded scholarships are invited to apply for a means-tested bursary and will be required to complete a Statement of Financial Circumstances Form which will be taken into consideration. Depending upon circumstances, a bursary may be offered of up to 50 per cent remission of fees. It is important to understand that any scholarship or bursary awarded does not automatically roll on to the senior school. The demand for large bursaries at that stage is high and the process is thus competitive.

To register your interest in Scholarships at Lancing Prep Worthing for 2027 entry, please contact our Registrar, Mrs Fauvel, on 01903 201 123 or email worthing@lancing.org.uk clearly stating which Scholarship you wish to apply for.

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=”https://www.lancingcollege.co.uk/prep-worthing/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2024/09/IMG_5759_0.jpg” title_text=”IMG_5759_0″ _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_image][et_pb_text admin_label=”Text” _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”]

An academic Scholar at Lancing Prep Worthing is a pupil who is passionate and gifted. The application process is designed to ensure that the Scholars chosen will greatly enhance the academic life of our school and embody our school aims of love learning, be kind, and go out into the world to do good.

On the assessment day, pupils will sit papers in English (30 mins) and Maths (30 mins), and they will also be required to sit GL CAT4 tests (verbal, non-verbal, spatial, and quantitative).

Should your child require special access arrangements, please ensure that details are provided upon registration.

At Lancing Prep Worthing, we work with children’s academic capabilities, passions and talents rather than pushing them into a box labelled ‘attainment’. For this reason, all candidates will also have an interview with our Head. This will be a relaxed conversation, not an examination.

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_text admin_label=”Quote” _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”]

I have most definitely benefitted from my time at LPW. We sing together as a community in celebration, and pupils receive specialist teaching within curriculum lessons. Our pupils play a wide variety of instruments, which are supported through outstanding peripatetic teaching. In this rich musical environment, Scholarships are offered to pupils who demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to the musical life of our school. They would be expected to perform in concerts, soirées and as part of the ensembles and orchestra.

On the assessment day, candidates will meet with our Head of Music to discuss their interests and experiences with their chosen instrument.

All pupils will be asked to perform two contrasting pieces or songs on one or two instruments. Both their musicianship and potential will be considered. We recommend that pupils are playing at a minimum of grade 2, although grade 3 or above would be preferred.

An interview with our Head will allow each candidate to share their enthusiasm for Music and their hopes for the future.

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_text admin_label=”Quote” _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”]

I remember lots of things about LPW, but something that really stood out was how welcoming the community was.
