Nursery: A minimum booking of 3 sessions per week is required, which can be either 1.5 days or a combination of mornings and full days.<\/p>\n
Pre-School: A minimum booking of 4 sessions per week is required, which can be either 2 full days or a combination of mornings and full days.<\/p>\n
A child transitions from Nursery to Pre-School from the term after their third birthday.<\/p>\n
Morning Session (08:30 to 13:00) \u2013 \u00a345.90 per session \u2013 including snacks and lunch<\/p>\n
Full day Session (08:30 to 15:30) \u2013 \u00a371.40 per session \u2013 including snacks and lunch<\/p>\n
Afternoon Session (12:30 to 15:30) \u2013 (only available for funded only sessions)<\/p>\n
Additional sessions can be booked depending on availability and will be charged at \u00a375.00 for a full day session and \u00a349.00 for a morning session.<\/p>\n

DISCOUNTS: Please note: Each younger sibling will receive a 10% sibling discount whilst the older sibling is at the College or the prep schools. This is not available whilst you are eligible and claiming Early Years Funding.<\/p>\n
Universal Funding for 3 and 4 year-old children<\/strong><\/p>\n Lancing Prep at Worthing offers universal Early Years Funding Places of up to 15 hours per week, subject to the Government and Local Authority terms and conditions. The funding is restricted to the number of weeks the school is open, usually 33 weeks per year, not the full 38 weeks offered by the local authority.<\/p>\n Early Years Funding for Eligible Working Parents<\/strong><\/p>\n Lancing Prep at Worthing offers Early Years Funding Places of up to 15 hours per week for eligible working parents of children who are aged 9+ months to 2 years subject to the Government and Local Authority terms and conditions. The funding is restricted to the number of weeks the school is open, usually 33 weeks per year, not the full 38 weeks offered by the local authority. Extra Charges and Enrichment<\/strong><\/p>\n Early Years Funding only covers delivery of those elements required by the Early Years Foundation Stage and therefore it does not allow us to provide Early Years education to the standard we aim to achieve. We therefore make a charge for a contribution towards the costs of meals and for enrichment activities as below.<\/p>\n Weekly contribution to meals per funded full day \u00a38.60 (two snacks plus lunch) Enrichment Activities<\/strong><\/p>\n 2+ years\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a01 x \u00a38.60 contribution per week During their time in the Nursery, children participate in a variety of enrichment activities. Sometimes these are based on their current interests (to extend learning), sometimes they are based on igniting new interests (introducing new learning). Or they may be linked to a particular Nursery topic or special national events. Weekly, these include:<\/p>\n We have regular cooking and Forest School\/Outdoor activities sessions. Throughout the term, children participate in STEM sessions led by our Head of Science and Art sessions with our Head of Art. We are not currently holding swimming sessions as Lancing College Pool is closed for refurbishment \u2013 hopefully, swimming sessions will resume in Summer 2026.<\/p>\n To enhance the children’s learning and understanding, we invite a diverse range of professionals from the community to visit, including firefighters, dental hygienists and doctors. Additionally, we organise outings to the local library, the local shops to collect groceries for snack or special baking ingredients and to Lancing College Farm.<\/p>\n Early Years Funding Hours Only Bookings<\/strong><\/p>\n Funded only places are offered daily between 12:30 and 15:30, no deposit or registration fee is required to access this, there is no minimum booking of sessions per week and a 4 week notice period will apply. Any funding claimed for the term will be transferred to a new setting (minus the notice period). Please contact the school for further information and availability.<\/p>\n Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP)<\/strong><\/p>\n The EYPP is additional funding we can claim for eligible three and four year old children accessing their free early education entitlement. The additional funding is to support the development, learning and care for eligible children claiming Early Years Funded Entitlement.<\/p>\n For LPW to be able to claim for your child, you will need to provide the following information:<\/p>\n LPW will determine the best use of the funding by assessing the needs of eligible children, and in consultation with parents. We may also seek advice from West Sussex County Council for best use. You can find out more about EYPP by viewing West Sussex County Council\u2019s EYPP guidance for more information, including funding amounts by clicking here<\/a>.<\/p>\n Disability Access Fund (DAF)<\/strong><\/p>\n This is an annual one-off payment made to the Nursery to support those children with special educational needs and disabilities. The funding is to allow the Nursery to put into place additional care.<\/p>\n Children will be eligible for the DAF if they meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n For LPW to be able to claim DAF for your child, you will need to provide the following:<\/p>\n To determine the best use of the funding, LPW will assess the needs of the child, consult with parents, and seek support from West Sussex County Council where required.<\/p>\n
\nAt Lancing Prep at Worthing, we do not offer 3-4 year old extended funding. All funding for working parents starts from the term following a child reaching the age specified. It is applied for by families via the government website www.childcarechoices.gov.uk and Lancing Prep at Worthing require parents to share the eligibility reference number issued following a successful application, in order to register on the local authority portal for nursery care providers.<\/p>\n
