Giving Praise: Lancing Chapel
Lancing's remarkable chapel symbolises the importance of Christian worship at our school. Pupils can't fail to be affected by the beauty of the building, which is the central minster of the Woodard Corporation.
It is an architectural masterpiece which attracts several thousand visitors each year.
Whole school services take place in the upper chapel. The crypt is also used for smaller congregations, such as for the Daily Eucharist as well as for choir practice and private prayer. The whole school attends the College Eucharist every Wednesday morning and on one or two Sundays each term. Parents are very welcome to attend any of the Sunday services.
The College's famous chapel choir plays a major part in our worship.
Visitors are very welcome to Lancing College Chapel. It is open Monday to Saturday 10am to 4pm, and Sundays and Bank Holidays 12 noon to 4pm. The Chapel is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day. Groups of visitors who would like a guided tour should contact the Verger, Mr Adam Wilson, in advance, on +44 (0)1273 465949, or email@example.com.
