Lancing Foundationers campaign

The campaign 'Lancing Foundationers, bursaries that change lives' has raised its phase one £3 million target towards bursaries for young people from challenging social and economic backgrounds and has supported 28 students in the past five years. The campaign continues in 2022 with phase two, supporting a further 40 places and a target of £5.5 million.

iMPACT REPORT 2021

Lancing has a long history of providing bursaries to students who would not otherwise have a chance to receive the kind of education that Lancing offers. In independent research carried out with OLs and parents in 2021, transformative bursaries were still identified as the key area for support. So much has been a struggle for so many over the last two years and the power of education has never felt more obvious or necessary. The success of phase one of the campaign has demonstrated the strong desire to ensure that the benefits of a Lancing education are made more widely available. We select pupils from a wide variety of schools, both local and national, and they join in the Third Form and also the Sixth Form. The achievements of the programme is shared with our partners - the Royal National  SpringBoard Children's Foundation, East Side Young Leaders' Academy and Buttle UK.

The opportunity to go to a College such as Lancing is one that I will cherish and never forget. I hope one day to give someone like me a chance to change the blueprint of their life forever.
