Third Form Entry for UK students

Boys and girls are admitted to the College on the basis of examination and subject to a satisfactory reference from their current school.

To enter Lancing, candidates from preparatory schools sit the ISEB Common Entrance or Common Academic Scholarship examinations. The pass mark at Common Entrance is an average of 55% and only Level 2 and Level 3 papers are accepted. Candidates from schools which do not prepare for ISEB examinations will sit computerised Cognitive Ability Tests. These usually take place at the College during Year 8.

Pupils may be registered at any time but ideally this should be done two years in advance. Please complete the Registration form below. The Registration Fee is £100. Eighteen months before a pupil is due to enter the College, the parents will be asked to decide whether Lancing is definitely their first choice, and to pay an Entrance Deposit of £1000 as a pledge that they intend to take up the place which has been reserved, subject to their son or daughter satisfying the entrance requirements (in default of which the deposit will be refunded). This deposit is refunded when the pupil leaves the College.
