Lancing Foundationers Campaign

The campaign, 'Lancing Foundationers: Bursaries That Change Lives' , has raised over £6.7 million towards bursaries for young people from challenging social and economic backgrounds and has supported 50 pupils since 2017. It continues in 2025, with the goal of supporting a further 20 places and a total target of £10.5 million. The Campaign is supported by OLs, current and former parents and staff, and other valued friends. The College also contributes £16,000 per year for each Foundationer. This is truly a community-wide effort and serves as a model for schools across the country.

In our Impact Report we aim to demonstrate the power of our programme in transforming young lives. These are children who, in normal circumstances, would never have any chance to benefit from a Lancing education and all that it has to offer educationally, socially and emotionally. Foundationers tell us that their time at Lancing has been life changing. They are an impressive cohort and their desire to make a difference in society is very much in evidence. Some of the Foundationers tell their stories in the Report and reading their accounts will give you a truly tangible insight into what is being achieved.  You can also read case stories from those who have left. We select pupils from a wide variety of schools, both local and national, and they join in the Third Form, Fourth Form and the Sixth Form. The achievements of the programme are shared with our partners - the Royal National SpringBoard Children's Foundation, East Side Young Leaders' Academy, Trinity School in Lewisham and Highfield & Brookham Schools.
