Changes to the Advance Programme
The closing date for the Year 6 Advance Programme for pupils who hope to join us in September 2026 has now passed and we are looking forward to welcoming some 100 excited young people to join us on our Advance Programme Assessment Day which takes place on Tuesday 14 January. On this day, the pupils will participate in a carousel of activities which will include performing arts activities, games, a written task, a visit to a House and interviews. This will give each child the opportunity to learn more about us and find out what it would feel like to be a member of our strong and friendly community, as well as for us to get to know them. As you are aware, we have decided to use the ISEB Common Pre-test this year in addition to the CAT4 results and your reference which you are kindly providing. Alongside our observations on the day this will ensure we gain the widest possible picture of each child. If you would like to discuss any of your candidates prior to the test or indeed, after the test, please contact the Director of Admissions, Mrs Hilary Dugdale on hrd@lancing.org.uk to arrange a telephone call.
If you have a pupil who would like to join us in Year 9 but has missed the deadline for registration for the Advance Programme, we do have an alternative entry route which can take place after the Advance Programme Assessment Day . Please contact Mrs Lianne Crosby-Mathews on 01273 465 805 for more information.
We have one more small group open morning this term which takes place on Saturday 18 November and there are a few spaces still available for families. If you have any pupils with enquiring minds who would love to be a part of a school community where they are known and will have countless enrichment opportunities which will enable them to flourish academically, physically, and creatively, please do direct their parents to our website where they can book a ticket. On the day they will be able to meet current pupils and staff, explore our exceptional site and find out about our outstanding teaching and learning.
