Prep Schools Events
Lancing is a popular Senior School and Sixth Form destination, and the College works very closely with a wide variety of prep schools which finish at the end of Year 8 and also senior schools that end in Year 11. These include local schools, some further afield in Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire, Wiltshire and Greater London as well as some inner London prep schools. There is also a steady stream of pupils who move to the Senior School from the Lancing College prep schools in Hove and Worthing and the newest member of the Lancing family, Dorset House School in Bury, West Sussex.
Our relationships with all these schools enable us to work with their headteachers and future schools’ coordinators to ensure that they have a comprehensive understanding of what Lancing has to offer. We know that parents rely on their knowledge and the recommendations which guide them to the school which best suits their children; the one where they can grow and flourish.
Heads and senior staff from such schools are frequently welcomed to Lancing where they can meet the Head Master, the Director of Admissions and tour the College with a student – often one of their former pupils!
We also attend over 20 senior school fairs at prep schools each year to talk to parents who are considering future school options for their children.
Events at Lancing for prep schools
We run a busy programme of sports, music, art and academic events for prep schools; some enable younger children to experience our broad programme of activities and some enable them to compete with teams from other schools. All are popular and very well received.
