Why Lancing?
Academic

Academic

Lancing College is a place of scholarship where pupils learn with integrity. Your child will be encouraged to be curious and to think for themselves, underpinned by the essential attributes of learning.

Lancing continues its record of winning places at elite universities and overseas destinations. All Oxbridge candidates successfully met their offers in 2023.

Boarding Life

Boarding Houses at Lancing are single-sex and span the five year groups in the College. The Boarding House ‘home-from-home’ atmosphere is cherished. Lifelong friendships are formed and lives are positively influenced by peers and boarding staff.

Children can spend time with their age group whilst also having older peers to guide them.

Sports & Activities

Activities and Sports

Lancing is known for its all-round approach to education and each week time is set aside for pupils to participate in a wide range of extra activities.

These opportunities offer a wonderful chance for learning and personal development outside the academic syllabus. With over 120 activities and 30 sports on offer, pupils are encouraged to discover and develop new skills.

Evenings and Weekends

Evenings and weekends are tailored for each year group to ensure time is allowed for academic studies, activities, enrichment, sports and free time.

On Saturday mornings, pupils take part in more learning, personal development and career sessions. Sporting fixtures take place in the afternoon on site and at partner schools. Sundays are a day of rest, starting with a lie-in and brunch before planned outings and fun activities.
