Mr Matt Smith

Matt Smith has been Housemaster of Gibbs’ since 2000, and has taught subjects including Religious Studies, Classical Civilisation, Drama and English at Lancing since 1990. He is Senior Housemaster.

A keen thespian, he was Head of Drama for many years and continues to direct plays and musicals. Every other July he can be found in Africa, leading a sizeable group of Fifth and Sixth Formers on the long-established, month-long Malawi Expedition. He runs the Malawi Project at the College, as well as the Travel Awards scheme.
