Catering at Lancing – Variety, Choice, and Global Flavours
This term, the catering team has introduced a new servery model designed to offer students greater variety, smoother flow, and more exciting meal options than ever before. With dedicated counters for main courses, vegetarian and dietary-friendly dishes, deli selections, and chef’s specials, there’s truly something for every appetite and preference.
Students can now choose from a diverse menu inspired by cuisines from around the world, reflecting the wide mix of nationalities in our community. From favourites like Katsu Chicken and Pad Thai to Jerk Chicken, Mongolian Beef, and Bánh Mì, each week brings new flavours and culinary experiences.
Special themed menus, such as those celebrating Black History Month, have also showcased dishes like Jollof Rice, Plantain Chips, Jambalaya, and Bunny Chow – giving students the opportunity to explore global cultures through food.
The response has been overwhelmingly positive, with a lively atmosphere in the dining hall and pupils embracing the variety, freshness, and choice that the new model brings. Our focus is always to ensure our community can enjoy meals that are as nutritious, inclusive, and flavourful as they are diverse.
Stay tuned for more updates from our catering team as the academic year progresses.
