Hong Kong Visit 2026
Lancing College was privileged to visit Hong Kong in September and to connect with friends , current and prospective families and alumni whilst there. Dr Scott Crawford (Head Master), Mr Henry Ellinger-Gane (Director of Development) and Ms Hilary Dugdale (Director of Admissions) spent a few days in this vibrant city.
We were delighted to meet up with Ols whose time at Lancing spanned from the 1970s to the present day, and to be able to talk with families and interview prospective pupils. Receptions at the Park Lane Hotel and The Dynasty Club brought Lancing past, present and future together and there was a wonderful sense of a truly vibrant community; a wish to share connections and support and a sense of belonging to Lancing that transcended geographical distance.
Friendships forged decades ago still held strong and networks continue to be forged and strengthened. We were made to feel so welcome; conversation and anecdote flowed and it was excellent to meet up with old friends and to start to build new friendships. Lancing is clearly flourishing in Hong Kong and there is a real commitment to strengthening the alumni group there and building an annual programme of events for this group.
