Over 60s Spring Luncheon 2025
On Thursday, 8 May, we had the pleasure of welcoming our Over 60s OL Community to a Spring Luncheon at the prestigious Athenaeum Club in London. This sell-out event was particularly special, as it featured seven of our ‘pioneer girls’ (a new record for an Over 60s event) who had attended Lancing for their A-Levels.
The afternoon began with a delightful drinks reception, where guests caught up with old friends and made new connections. This was followed by lunch served in the charming Garden Room, creating the perfect atmosphere for conversation and camaraderie.
One of the highlights of the day was our first female guest speaker, Sue Holt (Second’s 1975-1977). Sue took us on a nostalgic journey through her time at Lancing, sharing fond memories of her days at the College and talking about the confidence that Lancing gave her. Sue’s reflections brought a sense of warmth and connection, as she vividly recalled the experiences that shaped her during their time at school. Her stories served as a poignant reminder of how the spirit of Lancing stays with us, no matter how many years have passed.
