Huge congratulations to Madelaine P who competed in the Eastbourne Sprint Aquathlon last weekend. This event is made up of a 750m sea swim followed by a 5K run along the sea front. Well done Madelaine.
Last Saturday saw the first of the House Tennis Tournaments with the Junior Boys springing into action. For the first time ever all six Houses were able to produce a team and over 48 matches were played throughout the afternoon. Right from the very first round of matches when Head’s took on Second’s House, matches were extremely competitive with some fantastic tennis being played by all and great sportsmanship demonstrated by many of our Third and Fourth Form boys. A special mention goes to Will P of School House and George B for remaining undefeated throughout the entire tournament.
The results:
In third place with a total of 30 points, Head’s House.
Sneaking into second place with 32 points, Second’s House.
In first place with a whopping 40 points and claiming the Junior Boys’ House Tennis Shield for this year, School House.
On the same afternoon the Juniors took part in a mini athletics event, the Senior girls had hockey drills on the Astro and the Senior boys played some cricket on lower field. It was a great afternoon of sport and we look to continue to run similar Inter-House events every Saturday in the run up to Half Term.
