Sporting Highlights – Friday 6 November 2026
Despite having only just returned from a two week Half Term break, there is plenty to celebrate on the sporting front, with some excellent team performances and notable individual achievements both during the break and since our return.
Tennis
Our U18 boys’ and girls’ tennis teams travelled to Rikkyo on Tuesday for their opening LTA Years 11–13 league fixture of the season, producing an excellent set of results. The boys won all four singles matches before securing both doubles matches, while the girls claimed both doubles victories and three of their four singles matches.
These performances extend the Tennis Club’s impressive unbeaten run to five wins from five fixtures this term. Congratulations to Players of the Match Logan B, recognised for his performances and leadership as captain, and Carla W, for her outstanding contribution.
The teams return to action next week, hosting Bede’s in a friendly and Sackville in the boys’ second-round league match.
Hockey
Congratulations to Molly G, who has been selected for the East Grinstead Talent Academy, a fantastic achievement and an exciting opportunity for her continued development. Molly has also been selected to make her debut for Horsham Ladies’ 1st XI in their cup fixture against Epsom this weekend. Two excellent achievements, and we wish her every success as she takes these next steps in her hockey career.
Football
Our U14 footballers secured an emphatic 6–0 victory over Sir Robert Woodard Academy in the District League earlier this week. Grisha L and Harry W each scored twice, with Luca S and Andrew T A adding a goal apiece to complete an excellent team performance.
There was also individual success over Half Term, with Rory R representing Sussex and Joe J training with the Maltese national team. Congratulations to both players on these opportunities.
