Reports and Inspections
In November 2025, Lancing Prep Hove welcomed inspectors from the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI), the organisation appointed by the Department for Education (DfE) to oversee independent schools in England. These inspections take place roughly every three years and ensure schools meet the Independent School Standards.
The inspection was carried out under the ISI’s Framework 23, introduced in September 2023. This framework moves away from single-word judgements and instead focuses on the pupil experience across four key areas:
- Leadership and Management
- Quality of Education
- Pupils’ Physical, Mental and Emotional Wellbeing
- Pupils’ Social and Economic Education and Contribution to Society
Over four days, inspectors observed lessons, spoke with pupils and staff and met members of our Governing Body. Parents, pupils and staff were invited to share their views through questionnaires, which were carefully considered as part of the process.

Lancing College has published its Gender Pay Report which may be accessed from the link below. Please note this report brings together data from all three schools within the Lancing College family.
LANCING COLLEGE GENDER PAY GAP REPORT APRIL 2023
LANCING COLLEGE GENDER PAY GAP REPORT APRIL 2021
LANCING COLLEGE GENDER PAY GAP REPORT APRIL 2020
Please note that due to the Coronavirus outbreak, the Government Equalities Office (GEO) and the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) took the decision to suspend enforcement of the gender pay gap deadlines for year 2019/20. The decision means that the College did not publish their data therefore results for 2020 are compared to those published for 2018.
