We aim to inspire a desire for excellence, to develop independent, searching minds and to foster creativity. We encourage the children entrusted to us to explore and achieve their potential, academically and creatively. Academia is rightly important to us but of equal importance is our pupils’ personal development.

Pupils’ academic achievement is high
Our pupils’ academic achievement is high; they consistently gain places at their first choice of senior school. Many do so with academic scholarship and exhibition awards.
Attending Lancing Prep Hove is an excellent pathway to joining Lancing College and around 75 per cent of our Year 8 leavers regularly do so. We do acknowledge that, for our parents, this is a choice and we engage actively with parents at an early stage to discuss the best options for each individual child in next step in their education.
Excellent opportunities outside the classroom
There is no ‘one size fits all’ mantra and therefore no ‘typical’ Lancing Prep Hove girl or boy.
We encourage all our pupils to experience a wide range of enrichment activities, including sport, music, drama and community service.
We give our girls and boys every opportunity to pursue those interests, inside and outside the classroom, and celebrate with them their achievements and successes.

Tomorrow’s citizens today
We seek to work collaboratively with parents, as together we guide our children in their journey from childhood towards young adulthood.
This journey starts with our youngest girls and boys starting to learn about the world around them and progresses throughout their time with us, culminating in the Lancing Enhanced Activities Programme for our Year 8 pupils.
We give our children a thorough grounding in life skills and challenge them to provoke thought, questions and debate, so that they continually broaden their horizons as they grow through the school.
