Dual congratulations are due to Jessica, who has achieved both an academic scholarship and a drama exhibition at Lancing College.
Head of English, Mrs Casey, says, “Jessica’s innate academic abilities placed her in a strong position at the start of her scholarship journey; however, it was her perseverance and determination to succeed that resulted in this dual recognition of her talents. Her insightful interpretation of poetry and a love of prose, both in the classroom and on stage, are a powerful combination. Her communicative performances of Shakespeare’s works have set a gold standard for future scholars to aspire to. We are proud of all she has achieved and look forward to seeing her on stage at Lancing College soon.“
Drama teacher, Miss Zeidler, says, “Jessica has been a delight to teach over the last three years, with such infectious enthusiasm and commitment to everything she does. A detailed and nuanced actor, Jessica creates devastatingly truthful characters that will break everyone’s heart! She is a wonderful role model and is playing the lead role of Gabriella in our upcoming Highschool Musical! Jessica is currently working towards her Grade 5 Lamda examination after receiving a high distinction in her last grade! Lancing College’s drama department will be wonderfully enriched by her talents and dedication!”.
